Permanent make-up is a technique of introducing the pigment intradermally, using a micro-precise sterile needle in such a way as to obtain the effect of coloring the pigmented surface. This treatment is a great solution for people who want to enhance their beauty, as well as correct or cover up any imperfections. It is a perfect solution for women who want to save time in the morning, and look perfect in any situation.
Permanent makeup lasts from several months to several years. It is impossible to accurately determine its durability, because it is influenced by many factors, such as skin type, individual metabolism or the color of the dye used, as well as the working technique.
Treatment plan
It should be mentioned that the color is intense immediately after the treatment, and in the healing process it fades by about 30-50%. The dye becomes stable in the skin and after a period of about a month and a half, additional pigmentation is necessary to fill the defects and possibly strengthen the color. The cost of additional pigmentation is always included in the price of the original procedure.
Treatment effects
The final effects of the treatment are visible after the additional pigmentation, then the eyes, lips and eyebrows are enhanced and have a regular shape.
Permanent makeup contraindications
- pregnancy,
- breastfeeding,
- diabetes (advanced),
- viral, fungal and bacterial infections,
- active eye diseases,
- active herpes,
- psoriasis, ichthyosis,
- use of blood thinners,
- the use of external and internal steroid drugs,
- conditions after eye surgery (less than 3 months),
- tendency to conjunctivitis or retinal detachment,
- mental disorders,
- use of botulinum toxin (minimum 4 weeks after botox administration),
- eyelid surgery or face lift (6-12 months after the procedure, depending on the opinion of the attending physician),
- strong tan on the body, which makes it impossible to select the color of the pigment properly,
- planned holidays in full sun, within two weeks after the treatment,
- excessive and unrealistic expectations of the treatment effects,
- tendency to develop keloids.
Preparation for the procedure
- before performing the procedure, remember to discontinue the use of conditioner for eyelash and eyebrow growth at least 6 weeks before the procedure,
- false eyelashes should be removed a week before the permanent makeup of the eyelids,
- filling the lips with hyaluronic acid can be done at least a month before the procedure, but preferably after the permanent make-up correction has healed,
- a gentle lip peel is recommended on the day before the treatment, as well as its proper hydration,
- preventively, the use of antiviral drug Heviran is recommended 4 days before and 4 days after the procedure.
Lip pigmentation
- Before treating this delicate area with pigmentation, a proper preparation is required. A few days before pigmentation, special attention should be paid to the care of the lip area, its moisturization and lubrication. Drinking plenty of water so as not to dry out the lips is recommended. A gentle lip peel is recommended the day before the procedure,. The mouth is prone to various infections, and during the procedure, for example, the herpes labialis virus may be activated. It is therefore the use of antiviral drug Heviran is recommended4 days before and 4 days after the suregery.
- In the case of eyelid pigmentation, their upper or lower line, performing the treatment in the morning, when the eye is rested, is recommended. Contact lens wearers must remember to remove them before the procedure and to take glasses with them.
- You must remember to remove false eyelashes a week before the procedure.
- Eyebrow pigmentation, apart from standard contraindications, does not require any special preparation.
After the procedure, the following may occur
- in the case of lip pigmentation - mouth herpes,
- irritation,
- reddening,
- itch,
- local temporary swelling,
- feeling of skin tightness.
The makeup color is much more intense immediately after the treatment than the final result. After a few days, the skin starts to peel and the make-up color loses its intensity.
- make-up must not be applied in the treated area until the irritation and skin exfoliation are completely over, ,
- alcohol-based cosmetics, scrubs and peels should be avoided,
- the swimming pool, sauna and solarium should be avoided,
- the exfoliation process should not be accelerated.
